Hey guys! How many of us here don't crib when the flights get delayed, when there is a traffic jam, when there are power cuts, when there is no currency left and you had to talk to your GF/BF, when your kid is adamant to watch its favourite cartoon and its the last over in cricket match, when..... We never stop cribbing.
Well only 10% of our lives is made up of what happens to us i.e. We do not have any control over it. For example a flight got delayed and your schedule is a chaos now. What could you have done except, wait for the flight to arrive.
Beware! The rest 90% of our lives is decided by how we react i.e. We have absolute control over it. We determine this 90% by our reaction.
Let us quickly visualise a situation where you are having breakfast with your family. Your kid knocks over a cup of coffee on your shirt. You had no control over what happened. But how did you react?
You harshly yelled at your kid. The kid started weeping. You turned to your wife screaming for leaving the cup on the edge of the table. You curse both of them and storm to your room to change the shirt. You witness that the kid was too busy crying and missed the school bus. You rush to drop your kid to the school in the car and there is a lot of traffic. Finally you reach the school, your kid enters the building without waving. You then rush to the office and realise you've forgotten to take your laptop. Wow! What a way to start a day!
Now don't look amazed and say what else could I have done. Of course you could have and should have gently said "Its okay Honey! But be careful the next time" when the coffee splashed over this morning. You could have changed the shirt and got back to the breakfast table. You would have witnessed your kid waving a goodbye with a smile and boarding the school bus. You could have reached office and proceeded with your work. As simple as that. But you ruined your day yourself.
Its 2 scenarios. Both started the same! Yet it ended differently.
Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, heart aches and problems.
Learn the 90/10 Principle, apply it and change your life :-)
It takes only will power to give ourselves permission to make the experience :-)
Absolutely True! Start looking at things differently , unique and you explore to yourself a greater YOU. Beleive me it really does!
